Artist's Bio

Carlos Sebastian Strappa born in Rosario, Argentina. Sebastian has started dancing tango as anyone else does, just to give himself a chance to discover something new in his life. As a fact he realized and fell in love with the immensity of the world of Tango. From the first day he immediately felt Tango was going to be part of the rest of his life. Very soon he became assistant of many Tango teachers in Rosario due to his ability of capturing, learning and applying immediately what learnt.
He took workshops with some of the most renowned teachers such as Miguel Pires & Natalia Grillo, Eduardo  & Gloria Arquimbau, Mariana Dragone & Sebastian de la Vallina, Javier Antar & Kara Wenham, Adriana Naveira  & Fernando Sanchez and Ezequiel Farfaro among others.

He also participated as assistant at Misterio Tango Festival 2012 organized by Gaston Torelli and Moira Castellano. One of the most important festivals where some of the best Tango dancers in the world participate by teaching and sharing all their knowledge. Throughout his career Sebastian has been investigating about various Tango’s aspects such as  technique, musicality, expression  among others. In London he met his partner Anastasia Damoulianou and together they continue this deep wonderful investigation about the art of dance.

Born in Thessaloniki, Greece. Anastasia Damoulianou from an early age was curious about art and the human body which led her in experimenting with various practices, sports and dance techniques (including yoga, ballet, jazz dance, oriental dance, contact improvisation and circus techniques).
Argentine Tango is a great means of expression and represents a highest form of art to her. Dancing over four years, she had the pleasure to meet and take lessons with some of the greatest masters of tango, including Sebastian Arce & Mariana Montes, Chicho Frumboli & Juana Sepulveda, Fabian Salas & Carolina Del Rivero, Pablo Veron, Julio Balmaceda & Corina De La Rosa, Lucia Mazer, and others. She has danced at the Tango Greece Festival, and participated dancing at Tanghetto’s concert 2007, Colour Tango, Zoe Tiganouria among other appearances.

Her partner Sebastian Strappa and herself are activated teaching and dancing  in London, England where they currently live, continuing together and sharing their fascinating trajectory in Tango’s world.
